This review is from: Moshi FireWire 800 to 400 Adapter (99MO023901) (Personal Computers) I'm using it to adapt a PreSonus FireBox into an Ableton Live setup on a new MacBook Pro 17" and it works perfectly. The cable is flexible so it's not cumbersome, it stays plugged in to the computer with enough force that I'm not worried that it will dislodge during recording or performance. Low enough profile so that other cables (USB, ethernet) will plug in as neighbors without touching or being forced in. Definitely would recommend. This review is from: Moshi FireWire 800 to 400 Adapter (99MO023901) (Personal Computers) Got it today to connect 24 in alum iMac to Western Digital MyBook 1TB external hard drives using their old Firewire400 cords. Seems to work so far. Seems sturdily made. I like how it doesn't stick straight out from the back of the computer just begging to be snapped off, like other adapters. Apple now sells this product on their website for more than Amazon.
